Kairn helps you record conversations, transcribe audio, extract structured information, and organize follow-through. This policy explains the information processed when you use the Kairn private beta.
Information we process
Audio recordings you choose to create in Kairn.
Transcripts and AI-generated summaries, contacts, tasks, events, follow-ups, and notes derived from those recordings.
Account identifiers used for authentication, including Supabase Auth and, where you use it, Sign in with Apple.
Subscription status and basic feature usage, such as capture counts.
How we use it
We use this information to provide transcription, propose follow-through actions, store your capture history, enforce plan limits, and maintain the reliability of the service. You review Kairn’s extracted suggestions before choosing whether to save them to Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, or notifications on your device.
Service providers
Kairn uses service providers to operate the beta: OpenAI for transcription and fallback extraction, DeepSeek for primary extraction when enabled, Supabase for authentication and database storage, RevenueCat for subscription management when live, and Apple system services for device permissions, Sign in with Apple, and purchases.
Audio and retention
Uploaded audio is processed to provide transcription and is not intended for permanent backend storage. Transcripts and approved structured capture data may be stored so you can access your history and relationship memory. You can delete capture history in the app.
Your controls
You control iOS permissions in Settings, can review suggestions before saving, and can delete capture history or your account from the app. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording another person.
Data sharing and security
Kairn does not sell personal data. We share data with the processors listed above only as needed to run the service. The app uses HTTPS for API communication and user-scoped database access controls. No service-role credentials are included in the iOS app.
